True Patriot Love
Jessica Clark-Barrow, EVP of Investor Relations, Co-Chaired the first ever all Women’s True Patriot Love Expedition to Baffin Island. The 100 km snowshoe to the Arctic Circle paired injured military veterans with business and community leaders to promote healing, mentorship, and raise $1 million for programs that support military families.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Waratah partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity that strives to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Through our fundraising efforts, we made a young girl’s wish come true by sending her and her family on an all expense trip to Disney.
Girls E-Mentorship
Waratah was one of the proud sponsors and organizers of the 100 Women in Finance (100WF) Champagne Cocktail Fundraiser to benefit Girls E-Mentorship (GEM) in Toronto. GEM was 100WF’s 2018 Canadian Beneficiary, and offers mentorship for high school girls facing multiple barriers.
North York Food Bank
The Waratah team collected over 300 pounds of non-perishable food and spent the day at the North York Harvest Food Bank, sorting and packaging for distribution and delivery to shelters and churches across the city of Toronto.
