Dimitri is the Chief Operating & Compliance Officer at Waratah, playing an integral role in shaping the firm’s operational strategy and governance framework since its inception.  With extensive expertise in financial operations and regulatory compliance, he ensures the integrity, efficiency, scalability, and optimization of Waratah’s business infrastructure – safeguarding operational efficiency and risk management to support investor confidence.

With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Dimitri has held senior leadership roles at BMO Financial Group, Alpha Trading Systems, and TD Securities.  His expertise spans investment fund accounting, operational infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.  A seasoned leader, he has successfully navigated complex operational landscapes, spearheaded strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth, and built high-performing teams to drive organizational success.

Beyond his professional background, as the former Chairman of The Reaching for the Stars Children’s Foundation, he has championed grass roots initiatives that provide comprehensive support for children in need, reinforcing his dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond the financial sector.
